Traditional ceremonies hold a special place in my heart, like this beautiful St Michael’s church wedding in Central Auckland, pleasure to photograph for all photographers.
Kathy and James spend amazing time sharing such private moments with their friends and family.
Couple shared their story: “Kathy and I were on the same Christian camp last year in June through a Protestant organisation called StudentLife. We met because funnily enough, we’re both teachers pets. At the lunch break on the second day I was looking for a table to sit at and noticed a spare seat across from the main lecturer who was giving talks each day on the camp. Little did I know, that free seat would change my life forever because sitting next to that seat was Kathy. I didn’t really notice her at first, I just saw her as ‘the annoying person talking to the lecturer when I wanted to’. But, we quickly struck up a conversation and ended up talking for over an hour straight. After the camp we remained friends for three months, messaging each other daily and having frequent video calls that lasted hours because I was living in Wellington at the time. I flew up to Auckland for a week for her birthday, and the day after on the 4th of October I asked her to be my girlfriend. Soon afterwards I moved to Auckland. From then until July this year we dated, and on the 20th I asked her to marry me.”
Proposal been “planned out a two day date with a bunch of activities. each representing different elements of our relationship. Climaxing with a hike and proposal in Afrikaans on the top of a mountain at sunset.” James also been learning Afrikaans for Kathy who is South African.
We spent a great time together right after beautiful ceremony, just finding a few nice spots near the church for couples intimate session.
